Family time, also known as contact, is a time for foster children to maintain their relationships with their birth families. It can help the child maintain their sense of belonging and identity, as well as develop and maintain healthy attachments with their family. However, family time can sometimes be a stressful experience for the child. They will therefore need your support to make family time as valuable as possible.

In this course, you will learn:
- Why family time is important.
- How different family time arrangements might work.
- What your role is regarding family time.
- About the potential challenges and difficulties that might come up
- How family time might affect your foster child and how you can support them.
